Nathan told me to dub this down from the four track so I did and added some Ableton Magick. Dig the nasty compression pump in the second verse. Originally I was considering dubbing each track separately and then doing compression/eq/whatever but decided that was too much work. Look forward to a 7” with a proper version of this song this summer.
A Modest Proposal
We’ve been invited to play at the local college radio station (rainydawg radio). Monday, April 26, from 5-7pm PST we’ll be “spinning” some of our favorite songs and then playing a short set. You should point your browser there and listen maybe.
“But What Will They Play?”
That is, indeed, an excellent question. Dave and I have so far had the most input regarding the mix. He agreed with me when I said that the mix would be somewhat of a Statement Of Purpose. That being said, we’ve got selections ranging from French Pop Starlets to Home Stereo Recordists to a 60’s Synth Wizard and a funk(?) group that features an amplified rubber band player. You do not want to miss this.
